Fair Let Inventory was founded with a simple mission: to reduce unfair deposit disputes by giving everyone access to one transparent, verified record of the tenancy. We exist to support fairer outcomes, remove opinion and guesswork from inspections, and make compliance easier by turning every check-in, mid-term issue and check-out into tamper-resistant evidence that tenants, landlords, agents and contractors can all trust.

Why we built Fair Let Inventory

Every year, tens of thousands of deposit disputes are raised in the UK and hundreds of thousands more tenants experience unfair deductions they never challenge. Landlords struggle to prove legitimate damage. Agents and contractors get stuck in the middle because the evidence is weak or inconsistent.

The root cause? Poor quality evidence. Phone photos without reliable timestamps. Paper inventories that get lost. No shared record of what happened during the tenancy.
